What is powder
coating?
Powder coating is the method of applying
finely ground particles of pigment and resin to a surface (metal.) The
powder is electrically charged, and sprayed onto the surface being coated with a
special gun.
After powder coating, the next step is curing.
The charged powder is heated in an oven, fusing it into a smooth
coating.
Powder coating has many advantages,
including: more resistance to chipping, fading, scratching, and wearing
than other finishes.
There is a large selection of powder coating
colors, with metallic, high to low gloss, clear gloss, and texture
choices available.
